Juat after helping my friends with Indonesian lessons I had a small lunch with them to discuss some 'business-to-be'. It's not really a big business, just something that I might be able to help them with. Well as long as I am still capable to do it, I don't think I should reject it.
Anyway, I went home after the lunch and fell asleep until 6pm. I woke up to boredom. I then decided to get up and go out. The internet connection was also cut off at the time, so you know...
I went to Bugis. Well actually what took me there was a request from my mum to get her a watch that she saw once somewhere in Bugis. Bugis is a place where there are a shopping center and also a market selling everything!
"what do you mean by everything?"
"yea, everything like... sex toys!"
No, I didn't stop by the store, mum. Hey, I got your watch! Chill out!
I thought I didn't just go there to buy the watch and get back home. So, I walked a bit further behind the market and it was quite interesting. In the middle of this square there was a big statue made of balloon of a big ancient God-looking man with his goatee hanging and also in a traditional Chinese costume. I guessed it was some kind of one of the Gods figure.
Ok, it wasn't just the statue that was interesting. Around it there were more standing balloons shaping like pillars. On each of them is written this... hmmm how to say it??... hmmm zodiac stuff. Ok, for example, I'm an Ox. On one the pillars I read some good stuff about the Ox like the lucky numbers (which are 3406!!!), luck on wealth and health, etc. I wasn't really interested in paying attention to reading it carefully. Well pictures were still taken though ;)
On my way home walking inside Bugis Street market I saw this huge head with a very weird style of hair and long orange nose... basically it was just very weird. Enjoy the weird picture located somewhere in this post (I kind of struggled with putting the picture).
Oh oh I almost forgot this. Just when I arrived at Bugis there was a young lady, she stopped me asking if I was Singaporean. I said no I'm Indonesian. Ok briefly they were from a company that seeked new talents. Take a look for yourself CreateTalents. Gave them my number, name and age and I left.
Yeah, yeah, yeah... that wasn't my first time. Few months ago when I was walking around Bugis I was also stopped by a young lady from the same company asking for the same stuff.
I wanna tell you about what happened when I was just on my way to the MRT station. I know it's getting confusing I keep saying 'before I got home' story. I'm just dead tired... but awake enough to type the story here. So, before I tell you what happened when I was just going to enter the MRT station (Bugis station of course!), I wanna tell you something else not less interesting.
One of my favorite shops in Bugis Junction (the mall not the market) is SingTel shop. SingTel is a phone card company like... I don't know what phone card you are using. Why this shop?? Well, it is not just a shop selling phone cards but also phones. They always offer various ways to buy a phone from their company. Not just selling actually, but also displaying. So, since the hottest phone besides Blackberry at the moment is iPhone, for the last couple of months they've been displaying usable for public iPhones in the shop. They're also connected to the internet so anyone can use it to browse anything they want. Ain't that hot?!
Let's get to point. So, what I like doing when in the shop is to use the iPhone and the internet to do this...
I typed in my website url and let it open even after I left so I did a little bit of promotion there ;) I DO always do that every time I go to Bugis.
So, just when I was about to enter the MRT station to go back home, a young lady stopped me again!
"Excuse me, are you Sing...?"
"Hold on, you're from Create Talents?"
"Yea..."
"That young lady over there just stopped me too earlier, so..."
"Oh ok. Thank you"
Get your feet on Bugis street if you wanna be poked and feel 'important' ;) It did feel good to be poked and think I looked 'important' enough to join their company but I knew it wasn't genuine. I had my own experience coming to their company last time.
Enjoy! and nite!

LOL! Cute lil' form of advertising there.. The next time if I drop by that shop and I see your blog there, I will know that you've been using that thing before me... lol! :P
Great way of advertising!;)
Hahaha.. if you catch me advertising there say Hi cause I'd like to have a picture with you holding the iPhone with my website on the screen and blog about it lol
MBL, if you advertise your name by putting your name on every picture you upload on your blog, I thought I needed my own way to advertise myself hahaha =P
Haha...that's sort of in a way "advertising" my photos. But more like copyright actually :)
Excuse!! haha =)
This is poor form for you. You usually set the home page to your blog ;)
Oops I didn't think about that. Usually if I find a computer with internet open for public, I do set the homepage to my website.
Hmm... or should I go back to the shop now to set it up? =p Thanks for the idea!
