Stopped at unusual bus stop

These pictures on the left are very clear for you to know what I'm gonna talk about. So, I was on my way home from Raffles Place where I 'helped' a friend of mine with Indonesian language and when the bus is getting closer to home I see this man laying on the street right in front of a big truck. The man doesn't move at all. There is another man too trying to put some pillow-like under his head VERY carefully. The accident happened right at an intersection beside Pioneer kopitiam in Jurong West near where I live.

Anyway, I then decided to get off the bus at the nearest bus stop from where the accident took place to look closer at the man. I don't know what to say if the man was still alive or not. He doesn't seem like giving any response to the guy trying to help him. He simply just lays on the street. He has some bruises on his arms, hands, and also a big bump on his forehead. I walked by him to cross the road as well as other pedestrians.

I do hope he's still alive. I was there until the ambulance arrived to make sure that he had been taken care of properly.

He might have a family living around this area waiting for him to get home. Well, actually he was wearing sporting gear so I think he was in the middle of jogging around the area.

Obviously I don't know his name or anything else but these pictures.

Finger crossed for his life.

RIP Sting Ray

This is what you deserve for having killed our beloved animal rescuer Steve Irwin. I had sting ray for dinner today and it felt so nice like eating my own enemy lol. I felt the victory at the bottom of my heart lol.

If the pic won't show up you can click on the title to read the post as well as to leave a comment as a single post. For some reason the pic only shows up in a single post.

Uploaded to my twitpic.

Uh, am I ready for summer?

Ready or not, it's summer all the time in Singapore or Indonesia where I've been thus far. Regardless the regular rain, it's still summer slash sunny and cloudy slash slash blue sky. HOT!

I wanna know what it feels like to be in the snow. Those people out there love the sun while these people like me don't always like it. Not everyday!

Let's not talk about the snow. It will come when it needs to. (wth am I saying?)

Last week I went to Raffles City and spent a quite long time in the mall having lunch, etc. I don't really remember what I was there for really. One thing for sure I wasn't there just to have lunch.

Umm, let me try to remember.

I was with a good friend of mine, Marcus.

Umm, what were we doing exactly? Why Raffles City?

Oh, yea! Now I remember. It was 'supposed to be' the Job Fair day. Yea! So, we were both about to attend a job fair that was scheduled from so long time ago. We were ready in nice and formal suits and with our CVs in our hands.

Unfortunately, there was a BIG mistake. Although, I wasn't there yet to witness it.

So, Marcus arrived first and decided to check out the hall before me. On my way walking towards the hall, I got a call from him saying that I didn't need to continue going to the hall. I was confused, why?

The BIGgest mistake was a wrong date. The job fair is going to happen in August! Hahaha... we laughed at ourselves for being so silly.

We actually printed out the confirmation letters before leaving. The real dates were there right on the letter! Hahaha...

It was okay... totally okay.

Now I remember. We ended up having lunch and walking around the mall relaxing. Haha...

Oh, so, as soon as we got out of the mall I felt this warmth around my body that I got right from the sun out in the sky. I said "wow, I missed the sun. I like the warmth". Marcus just laughed at me saying that.

"It was just a couple of hours in an air conditioned room!"

Oh, do remind me how silly this post is! hahahaha

This is how it looked like in the real picture (not sure if it's gonna be so clear enuff to read)

Brand new way of "e-mailing"

Sending emails to your friends or family or even pets has been done since so many years ago. There's a fear that emailing will be dead in a way that it will be less used for communication. Well, even now it's less used since we have Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Flickr, chat rooms, etc. I use all of them anyway ;p

Some amazing people out there, apparently, try to combine all those communicating features. Later this year Google will launch Google Wave.

See the picture below so you can have the image what Wave will really look like.

Personally, I feel excited to try Wave. I think it's gonna be cool. As you can see in the picture that it really looks like a combination of gmail, gtalk and some new features like chatting, updating our status to one can reply, sharing photos or videos that are commendable, spreading links, etc. ALL in one page! That's what's amazing about Wave.

I've liked Facebook so much. I can update my status and my friends (or some random people I 'accidentally' added) can comment to my status. I've also like having my photos commented. So, I'm afraid when I start using Wave I'll be using Facebook much less. I'm really gonna miss it... ;(

as well as Twitter... lol

It's not even launched yet so I'm probably just like many of you who can only have rough guesses. But, by the the preview picture above, I'm pretty sure I'll like using Wave :)

Here's an official video from Google team about Wave. Honestly, I haven't watched it yet as I have to get going now. So, I hope you will understand better what Wave is.

...anyway, it's 1 hour 2 minute long vid :)) Have fun!

At least, I can still keep up with Web 2.0 ;)

I'm a thief and I just stole a meme

I randomly found this strange blog that talked about stealing things, or what they preferably called stealing memes. I don't quite understand what they mean by stealing memes as much as I don't understand the meaning of memes itself. Although this trustful website says that a meme, as a noun, means
"A unit of cultural information, such as a cultural practice or idea, that is transmitted verbally or by repeated action from one mind to another."
So, basically, I don't know the real rules how to play this blog-game. I'm a bit bored at the moment... I feel like answering questions like what I'm gonna do now.

Guessing the rule of the game, let me credit the blog where I stole the meme from. Here it is: Soy Wax Candles.

So, let's do it now then :)

BBQ and Troof Call

I just got home and it's nearly 1 o'clock in the morning. I had a great time tonight. So, I was invited by friends of mine from Suriname for a BBQ dinner at their house. It was a promise that I couldn't break. Although I just got over my mild cold. I'm feeling much better now, that's more important.

So, we didn't just have a BBQ but also, after that, we played a card game called Troof Call. It was my second time playing the game, with the same people too. If you know the game that's really cool! I'm too tired tonight to explain it to you...

Anyway, my team won! I teamed up with Nasier and the other team was Marciano and his wife, Murni. Later on, a friend of ours, Dondy the-businessman joined with us and replaced Murni... so, he teamed up with Marciano.

They, actually, almost won but we succeeded to catch up.

It was fun!! It felt good beating the other team! Many thanks to Nasier... he helped a lot with what he always calls 'silent hints'... lol, which I hardly received.

We did take a couple of pictures using Dondy's good camera. I'm gonna have to upload them in another post later. I don't have the pictures with me right now... not yet.

We had fun, indeed. I was happy with the supper. We had grilled chicken, nicely-cooked baby potatoes, and some drinks. Oh, not to forget, steamed-grilled corns...

I'm going to find the old post that I made about the same thing when I had dinner with them last time before tonight.... if I made a post that is.

We would have had another game next weekend if I didn't fly back to Singapore on Tuesday next week. It's ok. I'd like to go back to Singapore too as much as I'd like to play the game again with them when I return here in August. They're very cool people!

Good night... have a great weekend!

and, FUCKING DAMN YOU, TERRORISTS! I JUST SERIOUSLY CAN'T MIND MY MOUTH FOR SUCH LAMERS LIKE YOU!!

Whilst everyone is napping... I'm busy internetting.

CRAAAP!!!

Almost everyone at home now is taking a nap. I'm gonna have my late lunch now then...

See ya!

Another (better) change

Last night I felt like blogging but lost the mood as soon as I opened my website. It looked really boring. I mean, it bored me. I then decided to look for templates through google search and found very cool one.

It wasn't so easy to adjust the template codes. Thus, I tweaked them slightly. I changed the header, terminated some unnecessary features, adjusted the margins, etc. And, voilà!

What I really, really like about this new layout is the slide show on the header above where you can see my photos complete with the description automatically changing after few seconds. By clicking the bulb icon at the center of the frame, you can see the full picture. I've been wanting to have that very cool feature.

Hope you're liking it too! :D

cHangEs In the laSt WEEk

In only less than a week there were already two changes of my website layout. First time I did it because I was bored with the old design. Second time was because I thought it was a bit too quiet.

The first change in the last few days had a simply light blue theme and slightly was a copy of one quite popular youtube page that, obviously, I admired. I then thought, after a couple of days, it was a bit too simple and copying isn't really authentic. Based on that thought I made a second change with a stronger theme, the circus. I know it's not quite presenting a strong theme of a circus, but the idea of the design is there.

I think I like it a lot! LOL ... hope you do too :)

(What's pretty cool is that you can see the order of the change by looking at the time and date on each picture below on pretty much the top of the picture where it shows my location at the time)

Enjoy!

4 new t-shirts... in the last week!

How are you doing? Yea, it's been a while... I think it's cool, though. I don't really wanna be so dramatic to talk bout how long it's been and why I've not blogged. Not in the mood for that.

Ok, actually I've been so busy with my research. LIARRRRR!!! -ok that was pointless...
_________________

Anywaaaay, in the last week I got 4 new tshirts! Not just so cool but so amazing! I got them from my cousin and a friend from Suriname finishing his study in Yogyakarta Nasier. Here they are the pictures of the t-shirts:

Gift from my cousin
"7ender"
I really like this one... like WOW!

Gift from Nasier
"Thailand Welcome to Pa Trong"

Gift from my cousin
"RSCH"

Gift from Nasier
"Pagelaran Kraton Yogyakarta"

I really like them and thank so much Nasier and my cousin for such great gifts! In fact, I got another new t-shirt which was much more meaningful a few weeks ago. It was a gift from Marcus. I'd like to show the picture of the t-shirt here but too bad I left it in my cousin's condo yesterday -so, actually, I've been staying in my cousin's condo the last week. It's in Serangoon.

So, thank you too Marcus for having well organized the design and surprise! Someday I'll upload the picture of the t-shirt and share with everyone here :)
