I felt a bit weird going to a such big event on my own. Thus, I decided to get off at Raffles Place MRT (near Marina Bay) and texted a friend whose office is in Republic Plaza. He's one of the directors of the office where I help him twice a week. This is what thought... "Oh, the office is on the 58th floor. It's gonna be a great place to see the fireworks"

Republic Plaza is the tall one on the left
So, based on that thought I texted him asking if he was gonna watch the show too and later on received a 'Yes' from him. But instead of watching the show from that building, we decided to go to a building not far from Republic Plaza but even nearer to Marina Bay! which was even more amazing. The building's called Marina Bay Tower (even by the name you know that it's the right place to view Marina Bay!)
Tall building in the middle is Marina Bay Tower
We went up to the 44th floor with open windows towards the bay. Only on that floor of 60's floors in that building where you can have a nice view towards the bay.
Anyway, just enjoy the pics. Unfortunately my battery ran out before the fireworks! I know that sucks!! The prob is I took a VERY long video using the camera since the fireworks didn't start until 8.15 or something, and I arrived there at 6.30. So, I thought I didn't wanna miss the before-after dark scene of the skyline of Singapore by filming it. Video is being uploaded to Youtube.
Enjoy!

Helicopters flying around creating a great soundNo, they're not hitting the NTUC building. Slightly a strange angle, I know. Ha
Workers having dinner on top of the building they're building. Obviously to watch the fireworks
Boats firing canons creating GREAT exploding sounds. Didn't u hear them too, Cashmere?? The sounds were SOO loud! They like broke the air of Singapore and made the area feel like in a war zone.

Nice view Rad, next time carry chargers along! My job often requires me to scale tallest buildings and get my photographer to snap photos.
Yes I will ;) Thanks for having commented here :p it's been quiet hehe
I hope we can have time together in Singapore to have some photography moments :)
Hey!! You cheated me.... You said you'll be on the bridge but you're up there in the building! Nice view but I would still prefer being at One Fullerton. Try it on the National Day itself.. You'll enjoy it, I promise you that.. lol!
Sorry I read the previous msg late.. I'll be there again on NDP.. ;P
Will you be going again?
Oh..and about the cannon firing thingy, yeah... I think my heart bursts at the sound of it. I kept jummping in shock everytime they fire it.. Hahaha!
Cashmere, I didn't know that I would be able to see the fireworks from that building! It was a big surprise to me :)
I could have gone to the bridge if we contacted each other apart from blog here. Well, let's meet up next time Cashmere :) You seem to be a nice woman and friend :)
