Fallen in love..
Posted by
Rad Sujanto
Back to my home town in Indonesia. Oh so much hotter here lately! The heat can make your skin feel like burning up. It can hurt. Anyway I'm not really into talking about that topic. My point is I am now back home and still a bit overwhelmed by the fact that I had to leave Singapore. I don't mean to say bad things about my own hometown but once I got back here a couple of days ago I suddenly thought 'Oh no.. I need to go back to Singapore'. This is about the reality. I know I was there only for 2 months but it was such a huge and very new experience. I mean things are just different here. I'm not only talking about big buildings or malls or sort of high-class modern lives but also about the safety, the cleanliness, the discipline of the people and traffic, the highly organized public transportation, the everything. I think I've fallen in love with Singapore :)

Trip to Jurong Bird Park, Singapore
Posted by
Rad Sujanto
Yesterday was a lot of walk for me. I went to a bird park, Jurong Bird Park. When I said walk I didn't mean walk from home to the park. Nooo.. 'cause that'd be crazy and a bit silly as public buses (SMRT) are all around the area. In the park I walked a lot, that's what I meant. The park itself impressed me very much. Since I love animals so I felt like home when I was there. LOL (No, I'm not Tarzan. I don't live with animals) I just love the nature and animals. It was not only the animals but also the park itself making me want to stay longer there. Continue reading... (more story with attractive pictures and videos!)
Missed an anniversary

My blog's anniversary that is. I just realized it's been one year and when I looked up the archive the date shown when I first time posted a post here was 24th of September 2007. I missed it. I mean I missed posting a celebrating post on the date 3 days ago. Well nothing much to say now. Just nice to know it's been a long year since I started blogging. I hope to get more upgraded with blogging and writing (I mean not only the writing style but also getting to know more of designing an attractive looking blog). I realized some things have upgraded now on my blog compared to when I first time wrote a post here. Some of my blog visitors also noticed the upgraded change on my blog when speaking with them not so long ago.
I also realize my blog is not one of the most visited or most attractive ones. I admit it must be the language I use here. I always use English even though I am not an English native speaker. Thinking this is one of many ways of practicing my English, I never put a doubt on myself to keep using English here even if sometimes it doesn't sound right at all. As I just said I am not an English native so making mistakes on the language is always considered fine.
In the first few months after I started blogging here, no body left any comment on any post I'd posted. I was not so happy with that at all. But the idea to stop blogging on this blog never really crossed my mind. I did try to find some other blog sites as alternative thinking maybe I could find more visitors from using another blog site. But I realized that'd be useless because I could not just leave all what I'd written for months behind to just start a new blog on a new site, and also having one blog has been making me quite "busy" thinking what to write so to have two blogs would never help.
Then I had an idea. Maybe I should make my blog look a bit more attractive rather than just focusing on the texts content. Since then I started learning how to modify HTML codes. I had no idea at all when starting learning it. I did make a lot of mess on the layout -many times. Then I kept trying and trying. Then as the time went I realized I started to get better in recognizing some complicated codes (I'm not sure honestly if they're called codes. I heard once from a friend he called them 'paragraph'). That proves that even now I'm still learning.
I'm glad now I have more readers even though I guess they're not more than 10. Well I am not saying that I am big headed now. But you know when your work has been viewed and appreciated by others sometimes you feel proud of it. That's what I meant by glad. It's been one year and no more than 10 readers.. yea, it's fine 'cause I'm not a celebrity or even a pop guy. I'd be very sad if I was a celebrity and popular I had no more than 10 people reading my website. LOL. But I won't tell a lie! Gaining more and more readers even up to 1 million of them is always my passion for this blog. Read me more! :D

Heroes is getting better!
Posted by
Rad Sujanto
I just watched Heroes S03 E00-01-02 (Season 3 Episode zero, one and two). So great and much better although the storyline seems to get a bit more complicated with more additional super powerful men (not only as heroes but also villains). There is no longer Nicki Sandler in S03 as she was killed from being trapped in a fire for saving her son's close friend. But.. (there's a but) she appears as a new character in S03 with a you-can't-believe new power!
Sylar is still there and even more evil in S03. He's finally got the power of Claire Bennet to be able to heal himself from injuries. So Claire's dead?? No, she's not. Sylar let her alive. Claire may be shocked from meeting Sylar but also glad she can still be alive. There's only one thing that Claire is now regretful for, she can not feel the pain anymore even if she gets injured. Remember when she said even though she could heal herself from injuries she was still thankful for still being able to feel the pain because at least that was the closest thing to be as a normal human being apart from having a power to heal herself. But now.. she has lost it. She can't feel the pain and that makes her so sad because the thing that used to make her feel like other human beings is now gone. She's always wanted to be like others and now it seems not possible for her.
Anyway what I like the most from S03 (E02 so far) is the comeback of Claire's biological mother. Or say the fire maker mother. She totally disappeared in most of S02 and now is back to take care of her daughter in the house taking over Mr.Bennet's job on her. That's just great!
Oh, there's another thing so interesting about new born powers. It's Dr.Suresh. He's finally got a power. Yea he got it. He made it happen. He injected himself with the extract of Maya's adrenaline which apparently has an ability to create a super power when injected to one's body. His power is a bit mixed, I still have to see the upcoming episodes to find out what it really is. So far as I've seen he can climb on the wall like a gecko and has a super strength.
Bob is dead. It's Sylar (again). If you can't remember who Bob is then try to remember her daughter the electric young girl (I honestly forget her name.. ;p. Played by Kristen Bell). But Sylar is in captivity now (so far in E02). Captivity level 5 to be exact. Apparently Level 5 is a place where Mr.Bennet and his people keep the most dangerous super powerful men and Sylar has joined them now. But as the time before Sylar joined them, the other only 3 prisoners escaped. There's a story behind their escape.
Oh I can't wait to watch the next episodes but they're not yet released. Hope you didn't find this post so boring unless you really don't like Heroes or even have no idea at all what Heroes is. It's a tv series FYI.. :D in case you seriously have no clue!

What's this?
Posted by
Rad Sujanto
Last night I had a simple but very nice meal. It's a mix of plain rice, grilled mutton, long-sliced cucumbers and carrots, chillies, hot sauce, grilled beef, fried peanut with small salted fish, mashed-fried potato, and one small and thin thing with a sweet taste and a shape of a flowery round leaf. I don't know how exactly to describe that thing so I took a couple of pictures of the meal with the 'thing' in focus. So here they are (in the pictures I was half way eating):

That sweet thing was the one I didn't eat. I didn't know how to eat it! It tasted like something you just like sucking till it loses the sweetness. So I just put it in my mouth and sucked the sweetness it's all got. I didn't think I would have chewed or even swallowed it as sometimes I chew something sweet it slowly gets bitter so I didn't want to have the same experience last night with that sweet thing in my mouth.
Anyway I'm just wondering what that thing would be called. I have not done anything like a research on the internet or even asking my mom yet to know what that thing is. Well I could have just asked the vendor of the meal but it's not near from home and I don't think that'd be polite.
Honestly I bought the meal from a Muslim food vendor. As I don't eat pork so I trust them for that.. so I don't think that thing was pork. Hey I don't know what pork tastes like, it could be sweet (although that might be strange for a taste of meat).

New look

Oh I just finished re-designing my blog look. It took me staying in the room at the computer most of the day and night today. I enjoyed it much tho so no pressure at all. Anyway I tried moving and adding some elements of the blog such as the menu bar (see above on the banner), I didn't just move them lower but also put a nice frame. For those who never saw the previous look must find this more boring than those who have. LOL. Well this new look may not come out that good either compared to the old ones but I find it a bit tidier. I had to change some main colors like blue and white from the old design with darker ones so the new design/look looks more contrast, noticeable and hopefully more likable in order to gain more and more of your interest and visitors :)
Here's the comparison (only the banner):

I personally hope to get feedback from you esp about my blog new look.
Enjoy!

Shakira dance in Blu Jaz

Rad Sujanto
I went out for dinner last night around Bugis (after playing around the DHL balloon) and stopped by a bar called Blu Jaz. It's located around Arab Street in case you have been there or plan to go there. It was 9.30pm and I was so tired and ready to just go home. Something held me.. some one actually. A dancer.. a belly dancer.. :) Shakira??
Apparently every friday night they always have something to perform on the top (3rd) floor of the bar. For some reason I was suddenly awake! LOL.
During the dance I decided to record it using my friend's phone camera as mine is very poor for capturing anything in darkness. I had fun but was still too tired so decided to get home one hour before the performance finished. The dancer herself was Chinese not Lebonaise-Colombian like Shakira (I guess). Well she just looked Chinese :) Never mind just enjoy the video.

Broke an Anchor and Paris Hilton
Posted by
Rad Sujanto
I went small shopping just this evening at one (the only one) quite big shopping center in the area called Gek Poh. I was not alone but with one of the housemates. We decided to have dinner there and did some shopping. We got everything we personally needed and the last thing he needed was beers. He grabbed 4 Anchors and put them in the trolley. Then I noticed something. As he had small cracky things in the trolley I asked him to put the bottles in the smaller basket on the trolley (do you know this small additional kind of basket near where you hold and drive the trolley that you can fold too?). Well he did what I told him. Seconds after that, "Bam!", one of them crashed down on the floor (wondering why? ok.. do you notice that the smaller basket that I just tried explaining to you earlier has two big holes where ppl usually use to sit their kid and let their feet go through the holes?) Yes that's what happened. Instead of litte cute feet, a bottle went smoothly through one of the holes. Yea it was loud. We did make a mess on the floor. From tiny to big pieces of crashed glasses all over the floor and yet the beer itself. We waited for some moments doing nothing cause we didn't know exactly what to do whether we needed to clean it up by ourselves or somebody else from the supermarket would do the job. Well not long after that somebody came and said that it was fine (NOTICE = not fined! I know it's Singapore). At first the man told me something.. in Chinese! I was surprised and totally in confusion. "Oh what.. sorry? " I had no clue what he was saying. He thought I knew Chinese or was Chinese. Never mind.
We were glad... oh but then a woman came. We were kind of 2 meters away from the mess ready to 'escape'. She talked loud to the man (in Chinese). And when I saw her face when she was talking with him, it was horribly a mad face. But after all I learned from that... at least to not put anything fragile in the small basket when shopping.
The end..
Oh hold on.. what about Paris Hilton??
Yes, Paris Hilton.. I dreamt of dating her last night! She wasn't on her best make up though as I could remember. She was looking like normal women without make-up but still looking good. She was kind of alone and needed help. So I gave her a hand. Yea that's all... oh anyway we were in a hotel! Haha.. easy easy.. I mean somewhere outside the hotel (well that's what my memory can recall).
Oh anyway, do I look that Chinese?

Just like to share what I like eating during the night while using the computer as 'snacks'. Candies! Well there's a mini mart called Hong Hong (no. it's not Hong Kong) just near the apartment so it's always tempting to get snacks from there after having a dinner at the kopitiam (food court) near the mart. Yum.. yum.. :))

Blu Jaz cafe
Posted by
Rad Sujanto
Just got home from a small dinner with friends on Arab Street. I was with a friend Victor having a very nice so-called Shish Kebab (lamb one) at one restaurant (I think it's called Cafe Le Caire or something like that) before another good friend of ours Marcus joined later the night. Since he joined our dinner quite late when me and Victor had already finished the meal we decided to move to another place. It's a cafe, Blu Jaz cafe. It was pretty busy when we were there. The cafe has 3 floors and since it was quite busy we only got bar seats on the top floor. It was fine. We just thought it'd have been nice to get a long sofa to sit on (or lay down!) when we were pretty tired. We only had 2 jugs of Tiger and a mexican snack Tacho. And I had an idea to take a couple of pictures of three of us as a souvenir as Victor will be leaving for Dallas, USA, on 26th and me leaving back for Indonesia on 28th. In short, we had a good dinner. Hope we can work out somewhere else to go to together next time before we both leave.

P.S : Oh anyway I've got one more person (Victor) saying that my purple shirt is 'not-bad', well he didn't say it was nice either but said the shirt looked more like a party shirt... while Marcus thought it looked like a beach shirt. I took all the considered-compliments though. Thanks :D

homepage ==> image?

I just excitedly found out how to make a homepage an image. Finally! I have been wondering how people do such thing. I usually find out things on my own but a friend of mine helped me this time. Thanks! So anyway if you have no clue what I've been trying to mean here, just see this image below here and hopefully you'll get what I mean by the title "homepage = image" above.
"your shirt is nice.."

I was just going out to look for souvenirs this late afternoon. As usual I used the elevator in the apartment building. When it was going down a quite old man stopped at floor 3 and entered. I didn't expect anything at all from him as people always share elevators with others. But this time it was a bit different. He looked at me and suddenly said "your shirt is nice..". And I was like "Oh..", a bit paused for a moment and "yea, I like it too". I was even too surprised to say Thanks. And yet, just before I went out of the elevator, he said "Thank you. Have a nice day!"... I was kind of touched by his kindness and politesse. Well this time I said "Thank you, you too!".

Actually that was not the first time I met this old short man. I met him a couple days ago. He speaks a very neat and good English. I don't know if he's taking an English lesson and has been practicing with anyone he meets. Or he's just a very kind and polite person. I have no idea who he is. One thing for sure he must be living in the same building and on the third floor. Like to meet him again honestly to talk more with him. It's good to make new friends, I guess.

Anyways, I honestly did wear my most fave shirt. It's purple and looks nice on me. I'll try to have a picture on it another time and post it here (which I just did now, on demand by my own fanatic fans brothers and sisters!! Well they insisted.. fans! What could I do?? Haha)

My very own Youtube!!!!

Been up all night uploading 6 videos that I took randomly the last few weeks since I arrived in Singapore. The quality of the videos are not the best because I still don't have a proper handy cam. Therefore, I use my phone camera or sometimes my photo cam too. Here's the link to my Youtube channel : www.youtube.com/radsujanto.
Please have a visit and don't forget to watch the videos. Don't worry they're all not all about me. Obviously nothing so interesting yet about the first 6 videos that I just uploaded as they're only random. But I think they're still worth playing... please.
I am excited to make more videos!
Enjoy!

diligent us

Me and one of the housemates today cleaned up the house. It's every weekend thing. So every weekend each of us has a turn to clean up the house but it can be done by a pair as the house is not that small unless you really insist to do all the cleaning all by yourself. Anyway this weekend was ours. I think we did a very nice cleaning job. We decided to do things separately. I did the living and dining rooms while my friend did the kitchen. It might sound a bit unfair to me but his part was not easy at all. He really cleaned up the kitchen. He sprayed and wiped every inch of the kitchen set. I was even wowed.. so not like everyday-him (peace!). He did it quite diligently.
Anyway, I sprayed, wiped, swept and mopped. All cleaned up now! Shiny and like-new! So I did it quite diligently as well :) You can look at the following pictures for the proof.

English test .. tomorrow

I will have an English test tomorrow. It is needed as one of the conditions if I want to apply for a teaching job in one of education companies here in Singapore. And I am highly interested to apply for one so here I am so nervous for tomorrow's test. I have a very kind friend helping me study so that I would get a bit more prepared for the test tomorrow but for some reason I feel lazy to study at the moment. He insists though. I think I really need to study. In that case that must be started now then!
Arrghhhhh.. the reading section is just boring me, apart from the listening, writing and speaking ones.. sadly :(

"touched for the very first time.."

I know it sounds weird to you. Just this morning I felt like listening to Madonna's Like A Virgin. I know the song is very old that's why I warned you first in my first sentence that this post might sound a bit weird to you. So anyway, I youtubed the song and found the video. Not only one but two! The old original one and the most recent one. Here are the two videos (I re-sized the videos' frame so you can enjoy them better)
Original clip "Like a Virgin"
Most recent "Like a Virgin" performance in 2006 during Madonna's Confenssions tour
I put them together here to give you and myself an idea how her voice has changed from being 'virgin' to not. I thought that'd be interesting to know. It's all up to you though, if interested to know as well just watch the two videos. Anyway It was my very first time to ever see the original video clip of the legenderous song.

First break of the month..

I hate to admit this but I think I have a reasonable reason. I am not fasting today. My first break of Ramadhan month. The reason is I've felt ill since last night. My throat has been really sore and dry. I think it's the weather. I tried drinking much and eating fruit to help me feel better so I could fast in the next day but I didn't get better. I didn't have a meal this early morning as everybody usually does when they fast in the morning. My plan was to wait till my throat got better, but it didn't. And even worse when I woke up this morning it was really dry and sore. Yet I'm feeling a bit dizzy now. So I think I have a good reason to not fast today.
Although I am not fasting today, it doesn't mean I wanna eat anything I like as much as I want to "celebrate" the day. No, I still respect Ramadhan a bit even though I am sick and not fasting. Yes I drank and ate but still not with the normal portion I usually have.
I hope by not fasting today and resting much I can get much better tomorrow or later today so I can fast again. Fingers crossed.
.. and I am not making this up

Happy Ramadhan!

Time to fast again! Sometimes it excites me to have to fast again for a whole month. It is exciting because it has become a routine every year and it is nice to have one month special rather than the other normal months. What's special is that you have to wake up very early in the morning few hours before the sunrise to eat as much as you can. Hehe.
I remember when I was a kid it was so much harder to fast during Ramadhan. I wasn't that very active kinda boy but I kind of gave up easily each time I saw my mom cooking for the break-fast or someone eating. There was this time when I really couldn't help being so thristy anymore. I begged to my mom to let me have a drink. In the beginning she would not let me. After so much begging, I was finally let. Well I was still like at 5th grade at the time and my mom would understand that. But the problem why she didn't let me drink no matter how thristy I was was because it was 5pm already which was only one hour to the break-fast time. I did regret so badly after drinking. I was upset with myself how weak I was to have not been able to wait for only one hour.

Anyway.. happy Ramadhan, everyone! :D
