Will be teaching Indonesian language to my neighbor from Alaska. Kewl! I enjoy teaching! Isn't that good?

One of my neighbor comes from Alaska. It's a old married couple of one daughter, but she doesn't live with them here. The couple is Mark and Michelle. Well i talked few times with them, and one day Michelle asked me if i could help her teach Indonesian language because she needs it for communicating with people in the neighborhood. And briefly i said Yes! And i will be teaching her in a couple weeks when the fasting month ends.

Well they actually work at an international school in the neighborhood as the head, i guess.

Teaching is good. To let someone else know what i know, to make someone else smart feels so good to me. It's not my biggest passion but i feel passionate when i teach, esp. when they can understand what i tell them, beside that to be able to answer their questions would be a better feeling.

There's a lot of funny pics or drawings in the blog. And i chose this one as the best one, maybe 'cause it appears almost the same like the way i look, only the hair color that's different and i'm probably not that cute either. Hehe

I like the coloring too, the pose of the boy in the pic. Besides, the blue jeans look funny with that square shape on top part of it. Oh, look at the red nose~ haha.

Do you recognize these pics? Do you remember who they are (she is)? Yeah, they're the same woman, Ana Morizco, who had a role in a very famous tv series from Colombia, Yo Soy Betty La Fea (I am The Ugly Betty).

In the series, she lived as an ugly (very ugly) woman. She worked at a fashion company whose the president she fell in love with. She had those wired teeth and ugly dress on her. She had hair on her forehead and plus that made her even uglier and nerd-er is her big oldish glasses.

She might be so ugly, but there are so many things one can learn from her, that she could survive with her ugly condition in such modern and-at least, fashionable people around her, since she worked at a fashion company. She received insults almost every day at work. She had good friends tho'. One thing clear i learn much from her is her patience and power of making herself exist around cruel people by standing out with her wonderful brain filled with ideas and most importantly devotion to what she does.

She would never give up on everything despite insults. She fell few times tho', but then she stood up with stronger feet. She could make people understand that sincerity is what's more important than beauty. Being beautiful would be a plus, beside being sincere. But it is not a big must.

Oh Betty La Fea, how i missed watching the series. First time i saw it, it was when i was at 11th grade at school. I can't believe i would miss it as much like this. :)

Oh did i mention already that in the series Betty ended up being so perfectly pretty and even becoming the owner of her own company in fashion domain too.

Such a good role model she is!

We got the 2nd (second) place!!!! yea!!!

We got the 2nd place on the drama competition yesterday. Well i didn't really expect it at first. I'm now glad tho'. Every winning participant got a book and a map poster of France. I haven't received the price yet, my friend kept it for me 'cause i couldn't assist to the rewarding evening yesterday.

I am still waiting for the video to get transfered into CD (from mini DV tape). I can't wait to see myself on the stage pretending being a wise and 'playboy' man in the same time.

I hope to be able to show the vid to everyone here.

It went all good, but the other team was better performing

Uuuuh,, the drama was finally done on stage. We did all good on stage, even almost perfect. We were all happy performing the drama on the stage in front of the audience. We were in right and good costumes and good at pronouncing the texts of the roles. Almost perfect.

But I personally won't deny that the other team from the other university was even better. They really took the competition seriously. Their team was bigger in number, well supported in back stage. Perfect! They were more fully theatrical when they showed up on stage; the moves, the parole, the entire show!

Well as i am writing this message, the result has not been announced yet. But it will in 1 hour. I'm not sure my team will win, i don't mean to be so pessimist, but it's just that the other team was truly better and worth winning!

At least, i'm glad the show has been done. I hope to be able to show the recorded show on vid in this website. But it won't be soon until the tape is transfered to CD.

Sometimes we just have to know we can lose at some games, not to win and always win.
My role was to play Raymond's character, a father of one girl but of two gfs, playboy kinda guy, but still a wise guy. :D

The Semi-Theatrical Drama Show is in two days!! :O

I'm, with other 3 friends, going to show our semi-theatrical drama in two days. We have had only less than a week for preparing it. We ought to adopt a story ever written by Sagan, french author, from any of his ever-published novels. And we chose "Bonjour Tristesse" (Good Morning Sadness).

I'm going to act as a father (Raymond) of one daughter which apparently has two women in his heart. The whole point of the story is that he has to choose which the best one is for him and her daughter. The two women are Anne and Elsa. Elsa is still 20's, but Anne is at the same age as Raymond's, 40's that is.

Raymond likes Elsa much more than the other woman, since she's much younger also. Fortunately, Cecile, Raymond's lone daughter, agrees and supports that his dad hangs out with Elsa. Everything goes fine until Anne comes out and gets jealous to see Elsa and his Love wanna-be hang out together. Shortly, Anne and Elsa cat fight to each other, and Raymond stones watching them. He has to make a decision to choose Elsa or Anne....

Continued until the show is done on Monday. Hopefully I can attach the vid.

I am selected!!! I got the job!!

I now work for INCULS at Faculty of Cultural Sciences (Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, FIB) where I school at, as a Tutor for "Bahasa". I will teach a foreign student from Suriname named Marciano, he preferred me calling him just Marc. He's much older than me and obviously much bigger in body size. He told me he was a half Javanese, since her grandma' is from Java. He knows nothing 'bout Javanese tho'.

The tutorial will be starting probably next week or later in the early of October. I'm still not sure 'bout the salary per month, but i'll be fine no matter how much they will pay me. :D

I'll teach Indonesian language and its culture. INCULS is a place where foreign people study Indonesian language and culture. The students come from anywhere in this world. From Asia, Europe, the US, Australia, to Africa. And there have been hundreds that have studied at INCULS, so it's a pride for my Faculty and the University Gadjah Mada itself.

Such a long day today...

From having had to wake up in the early morning for early breakfast by 3am!!!!, to get to school to teach the students by 7, to come to the tutor audition at INCULS from 9-11am, to come to the drama preparation and practice from 12.30-2.15pm, and to get finally home to write this message, it did make me worn out having such a long dry HOT day. First i have not had much rest, and secondly i am thirsty!!,, and plus, i have been fasting.

Anyway, yesterday morning before leaving for school i took time watching the newest movie of Leelee Sobieski. I admire her so much, her acting, her moves, and her mimes. It was great, not to mention scary and filled with mystery. If you think you enjoy watching The Glass House, the previous movie starring this Russian girl, i bet you'll like this movie. Oh it's called In A Dark Place.

It is so hawt today that i did not want to stay outside, and not many did either

Hot! hawt! hawt! hawt!,, my skin hurt when i drove myself home from school riding down my bike. And i think i almost got dehidrated from the extreme heat. As i got home i turned on my AC and laid in bed, just relaxed. But as i got up a while after, i got dizzy.
